HOW DOES KELP CREATIVE WORK?

Establishing a clear purpose is key. Regardless of the experience

Kelp Creative will engage your community  through a purpose-rich experience specific to your needs, using the IDEAL process

IMAGINE

Create your Experience Design Brief by engaging all stakeholders to clarify the purpose and intent, identify strategy links, define target audiences, develop narrative and key measures of success.

DESIGN

Experience concepts are developed based on the Experience Design Brief. Depending on the experience or plan, this may include draft concepts, plans or strategies.

EVALUATE

The experience concepts or draft plans are tested against the Experience Design Brief, the narrative identified in the Imagine Phase, against available budget, and tested with stakeholders.

ACTION

Information from the Evaluation Phase is incorporated, and the concepts and plans are finalised, working with extended design teams as required including designers, architects, landscape architects and artists.

LEARN

Review  and evaluate outcomes to learn what worked well and what can be improved next time.

WHY WAS KELP CREATED ESTABLISHED?

Scott Killeen established Kelp Creative to help organisations design meaningful, memorable and engaging experiences anchored to a clear purpose and brief

A storyteller at heart, Scott has developed a number of award-winning experiences and knows the importance of the initial experience brief. It can be the hardest part of experience design, and it’s the most important!

An inspiring and well articulated brief provides a launchpad for creative and inspired design.

Scott’s deep dive into experience design began over 25 years ago. Today he's still driven by his passion for visitor experiences and thrives on helping  organisations engage their community through designing meaningful, engaging and memorable experiences, anchored to purpose.

In recent years, Scott has gained extensive experience in creating engaging and effective experiences that facilitate environmentally-friendly behaviours using Community-based Social Marketing tools.
