Lord Howe Island Stick Insect discovery

Melbourne Zoo wanted to profile their work to save the endangered Lord Howe Island Stick Insect. The result is a play-based adventure space. AV and graphics are integrated into stylised geographic forms. A giant central stick insect sculpture lays her eggs in the sand and creates a fun, engaging focal point for children and families. The display won Best Interpretive Project Under $150,000 at the 2016 Interpretation Australia Awards.
